Preventative Maintenance Drain Service

Many companies use toxic chemicals and corrosive cleaners for drain cleaning services and maintenance. Though they clear away the buildup, they can also damage your pipes over time. We treat your plumbing with a combination of high-pressure water (HydroScrub® Jetting) and environmentally friendly enzymes (Enzymatic Drain Care). These treatments return your drains to peak performance without introducing potentially harmful chemicals to your home’s plumbing.

Our enzymatic treatment is powered by plant-derived bacteria, which consume hair proteins, fats, oils, and grease, break down the most difficult clogs and keep your pipes clean long-term. The cultures we use are perfectly safe and only target your pipes’ buildup, promoting a perfectly functioning and fresh-smelling plumbing system.

You can depend on our team for the following drain-cleaning services:

  • Clogged Kitchen Drains: We use safe, environmentally friendly enzyme treatments to break up soaps, fats, grease, and food in the inner walls of your kitchen drain pipes.
  • Clogged Bathroom Drains: Our HydroScrub Jetting solution can blast through hair, soap buildup, toothpaste, grime, and more.
  • Clogged Utility Room Drains: Leave it to Mr. Rooter to remove dirt, debris, and other messes that can clog floor drains in basements or utility rooms.
  • Clogged Sewer Drains: Our HydroScrub Jetting service is perfect for clogs stuck deep in sewer lines. The high pressure created by the jets can even cut through tree roots.

Drain Cleaning FAQs

Should I clean my drains even if I don’t have a clog?

Yes! Cleaning your drains regularly will help prevent clogs and minimize the likelihood of plumbing issues in your home. Most of the time, drain clogs form slowly over time rather than all at once. Cleaning your drains when they aren’t clogged can flush out any buildup that could form a clog in the future.

When cleaning your drain for clog prevention, you’ll use the same methods you’d use when you have a clog. Some of them include:

  • Plunging: Plunging your sink every so often is an excellent way to push out any debris. Plungers force water into the drain at a higher-than-usual pressure, which can clear clogs, break up grime, and clean your drain.
  • Snaking: Snaking is usually reserved for severe clogs, but it can also work for drain cleaning. Snaking a drain can break up any debris, scrape the sides of the pipe clean, and pull out any hair or food stuck in the pipe. To avoid damage, be careful when snaking the drain.
  • Baking soda and vinegar: Once in a while, we recommend pouring one part baking soda followed by four parts distilled white vinegar into the drain and covering it with a plate or the drain stopper. The fizzing reaction will break up any potential clogs and clean up the inside of your drain pipes. This reaction can also kill bacteria in your sink, reducing foul smells.
  • Boiling water: Pouring boiling water down the drain is an easy way to clean your drains when you don’t have a clog. The high temperature of the water can melt away fats and break up any debris stuck in your drain.
