Waking up in the morning to find our main sewer drain backed up was not the way I was expecting to start my day. However Mr. Rooter came through big time! Their representative on the phone was a big help, and sent a plumber out right away. The plumber Chad, was incredible. He came in and fixed the problem and it took him perhaps less than an hour. He was here in and incredibly timely fashion and was polite, straight to the point and was all around just amazing. I can’t thank him enough and wanted to emphasize how incredible he was. When I called to make an appointment the gentleman that answered asked, “how can I make you smile today?” Which I thought was a great greeting, especially having come home from vacation to a leak! He cheered me up! The next morning the lady who called to notify us of our appointment time was also friendly, accommodating and understanding! The plumber, Chad, showed up on time and greeted us very professionally! He was very knowledgeable and super friendly! He took the time to explain every little detail and answered all of our questions patiently and in terms that we could understand. When he diagnosed the problem he gave us all of our options with various price points and never made us feel Obligated to choose any specific option or to even have the work done by him. We went ahead and had the work done by Chad and he did it quickly, carefully, and ensured we were happy with it before he left! He definitely fixed the problem and even went above and beyond with how he treated and in our home! He was very clean and respectful of our property. Never once did he wear his shoes in the house without covers and he even cleaned my bathtub after he was done working on it. We have nothing bad to say about him he is fantastic all around! I will definitely call him back specifically To have work done! I have to say, both Mr. Rooter and their sister company Birnie Plumbing and Drains have fantastic employees and work ethic! We had a sewer line replaced in our home last week. All the work was completed as we were told it would be. It was done in the estimated timeframe and the work was very clean. I wrote an earlier review but I cannot locate it....Please forgive me if you see two of them. Mr Rooter came twice for two different services and we had the privilege of having Charlie on both occasions. Charlie has a vast knowledge and broke everything down and made things easier to understand. We were given options and were left with zero surprises of how much it would cost. The prices were reasonable. You pay for quality...You get quality! The flat rate approach is nice to have and left us at ease. The prices are reasonable and there is no watching the clock because you are worried about paying the plumber by the hour. Appropriate covid measures were taken. The costumer service department on the phone was efficient and was a pleasure to deal with. The first visit was a secondary water main repair and a water valve repair to a toilet and a new toilet installation. The second repair was a shower faucet and leaking pipe problem. I like how the quote and work order is all sent through via email . I think there are other options. We opted to take the one time fee discount plan. It takes a percentage of the original quote and you get other things but It's best to discuss the details with the folks over at Mr Rooters office. We will be calling them again if we have a problem. Chad fixed two taps in our basement. He was very friendly and as I was curious took the time to show me what he was doing. Probably the most fun I've ever had on a service call. 3 years later... Chad came back to replace another old valve that was leaking and fix a drip on the outside tap. He was very mindful of pandemic protocols and got everything fixed up for us. We were also able to catch up on some 90's Toronto dance music history which made the whole visit fun.
